Daniel E. Waldman

DANIEL E. WALDMAN is an entrepreneur and attorney. 

Dan is a Co-Founder and General Counsel of StyleOwner, Inc., an internet-based retail fashion start-up in New York City. In addition to providing operational and strategic guidance to the Company, Dan oversees all human resource and legal matters, including intellectual property, employment law, commercial contracts, and general corporate matters.

Dan is also the founding member of Waldman Law, LLC: LeanEmploymentLaw, a revolutionary provider of employment law services headquartered in New York.  The Practice combines large firm attorney expertise with the efficiency of “Lean” process technology to deliver high-quality solutions for a fraction of the cost of legacy law firms.  The Practice serves clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies in all industries, primarily in the New York Tri-State area and California, on domestic and international employment law matters.

Formerly, Dan was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Employment Law and Litigation at Cantor Fitzgerald, a global financial services provider in New York City.  Dan provided a broad range of employment law counseling and litigation support to a diverse portfolio of Cantor’s businesses, spanning from Cantor’s core broker-dealer entities to its high-technology start-ups.

Before joining Cantor, Dan was Corporate Counsel Manager for Employment Law & Litigation at Cypress Semiconductor Corporation, a worldwide leader in semiconductor design in San Jose, California.  Dan founded the in-house Employment Law and Litigation departments, overseeing all domestic employment law and global litigation.

Before joining Cypress, Dan practiced law in the Employment Law Department of the San Francisco office of Paul Hastings, which has frequently been ranked by Chambers and Partners as the top employment law practice in the country.  And Dan began his career in the Labor and Employment Department of Morrison & Foerster in Palo Alto, California, where his practice focused on employment law counseling for high technology companies.

Dan obtained his J.D. and M.B.A. degrees cum laude from the University of Wisconsin in 2002.  His M.B.A. is in Management and Human Resources.  Before Wisconsin, Dan received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester, where he was a member of the Honors Program.

Dan is admitted to practice law in California, New York, and Wisconsin.
