MICK LONGO, Esq., is an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of California. Motivated by an entrepreneurial desire to change the way law firms operate, Mr. Longo founded Longo & Alach LLP with partner Patrick Alach in 2009.  His practice areas include Entertainment Law, Business Law, Nonprofit Law, First Amendment Law, Privacy Law, Hospitality Law, and Legislative Advocacy. 

Mr. Longo represents a myriad of entertainment and business clients, ranging from directors, producers, actors, musicians, film financiers, production companies, dance companies, start-up companies, and hospitality companies. Additionally, one of Mr. Longo’s greatest passions is preserving and bolstering individuals’ privacy rights.  Mr. Longo has been intimately involved in developing legal theories and argumentation to advance legislation that curtails invasive paparazzi conduct and enhances privacy rights for all individuals residing in the State of California.

Mr. Longo’s and Longo & Alach LLP’s most notable efforts in the legislative arena include: successfully advocating on behalf of Assembly Bill 524, which was signed into law in October 2009 to amend California’s anti-paparazzi statute (Civil Code §1708.8), and providing legislative language and argumentation to the California State Assembly in support of AB 2479, which was signed into law in September 2010.  Longo & Alach LLP’s legislative efforts are ongoing.

Mr. Longo earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School Los Angeles and his B.A in Psychology, with a minor in Cinema-Television, from the University of Southern California.  Mr. Longo graduated magna cum laude as a U.S.C. Renaissance Scholar and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, the Latino Honor Society of U.S.C., and the Golden Key International Honor Society. 

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Longo founded his own record label and managed artists on several world tours.  During this time, he also honed his skills as a professional photographer, cinematographer, and lighting designer.  These diverse entrepreneurial experiences in the professional and artistic world have provided Mr. Longo with a unique understanding of the challenges his clients face as they pursue their professional goals.
